A Brief Introduction

The Nepal Investment Bank was started in the year 1986 as a joint venture between Nepalese and French businessmen. The bank was, however, started in the name Nepal Indosuez Bank. A subsidy of the greatest banking group in the world, The Credit Agricole Indosuez, was the French partner who owned 50% of the shares.
In the year 2002, the bank’s name was changed to The Nepal Investment Bank when a group of industrialists, professionals and bankers purchased the 50% shares owned by the French entity. It became a fully Nepalese owned bank.
Currently, 69% of the shares are held by the promoters while 31% shares are held by the public.

The Bank aims to become the best investment bank Nepal has by focusing on fulfilling all the requirements of the customers. With its set of efficient and dedicated employees, the bank has seen itself grow exponentially over the years.
